About Our Delivery Rooms
Family Birthing Center TourWe encourage family closeness and participation at each stage – before, during and after the birth of your baby.

Your birthing bed adjusts to your individual preference. There is even an adjustable recliner for fathers-to-be to nap on.
Each private bath is equipped with a shower and Jacuzzi. C-section and recovery room care are provided by our staff.
After Baby is Born
At the Family Birthing Center, we want to help you make asuccessful transition into parenthood.
Our nursing Mission Partners address concerns you might have about caring for yourself and your baby to help you feel prepared for discharge.
Our Certified Lactation Consultant can help coordinate breastfeeding during your stay and after you return home. Breastfeeding is a wonderful way to help your baby transition from womb to world after delivery. This reinforces the bond between the two of you.
Breastfeeding Support
OSF Saint Anthony is dedicated to giving all mothers the information, confidence and skills necessary to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies or feeding formula safely.
Postpartum Clinic
Becoming a new parent often presents stressful changes and numerous questions. New mothers are scheduled for a complimentary visit with the Postpartum Clinic 24 to 48 hours after hospital discharge.
The clinic visit is designed to provide another opportunity for parent education and skill-building under the watchful eye of a health care professional.
Postpartum Clinic nurses perform weight checks and other newborn assessments, especially those related to jaundice, dehydration and breastfeeding.

Women receive assessment and assistance with breastfeeding their infant. The professional support helps strengthen each mother’s confidence in her ability to care for her infant.
