Clinical Research and You

What is clinical research and how do patients benefit? When researchers are ready to evaluate a new treatment in people, they carefully design clinical research studies to test its safety and effectiveness. Clinical research is designed to take the treatment from discovery to approval and marketing so that it can be used by medical professionals.

Clinical research is ongoing at a number of OSF HealthCare locations. For more information on currently enrolling research studies at OSF, please visit the Current Studies pages on the navigation menu.
