Rehabilitation Program

Phase 1

Phase 2

This outpatient program is an 8-12 week exercise therapy, two to three days each week. As you exercise, our pulmonary specialists monitor your heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation levels to keep track of your improvement.

If you qualify for these services, structured exercise and education programs are designed to meet your lifestyle needs and exercise goals. This program is monitored by the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Medical Director and is usually covered by insurance.

Phase 3

This is a self-pay program; cost is not covered by insurance. It is a great way to continue exercising after graduating from Phase 2. In Phase 3, you’ll participate in exercise therapy sessions up to five days per week. Our pulmonary rehabilitation staff supervise each session.

Pulmonary Education

Education is a very important component of the rehabilitation process. Pulmonary rehabilitation can help you manage your disease through a series of educational topics that include:

  • Learning how your lungs work
  • Understanding the disease process and what to expect
  • Breathing techniques
  • The importance of exercise
  • Stress reduction
  • Nutrition
  • Smoking cessation

How to Enroll

Ask your physician for a referral to pulmonary rehabilitation. Following their referral, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.

The cost of Phases 1 and 2 are reimbursable by most insurance plans. Phase 3 is provided on a self-pay basis.
